Home wireless networks are fast enough now that the Windows PC can be located anywhere in the house as long as the TV has a wireless input. As to the threat from open source software, the problem remains the same as always. .... market where MSFT is like an asthmatic marathoner– they just can't keep pace. Add in MSFT's tyro UI design and all you have left are the plethora of PC games–but , wait– get a console for games instead and a Mac (or a LINUX box) for real work! ...
